Soon I began to study the deeper knowledge of necromancers, so formidable was their knowledge I needed to pass a trial of sorts before I was awarded this information. As I gained more experience, I learned more ways to increase my defense and boost my minions’ powers. I was not idle however, even as my minions did the work for me. And when I finally got the skill to summon a carrion golem, my army of zombies, spectres and golem would follow me across these hostile lands unwaveringly in perpetuity.

I was delighted when I learned how to raise spectres, for now I had two permanent forms of minions. When there were no corpses around or if I had the need to bolster my numbers, I would summon skeletons for a short duration until I could raise more permanent zombies. In replace of fireball I learned how to summon raging spirits and altogether my minions did my bidding without instruction for they are ravenous fiends, eager to satiate their appetite for annihilation.
And so my minions began to crush and trample those around me as I quietly passed through.
Not much longer I was able to raise zombies and summon phantasms from those I’ve slain. I had to resort to the most mundane spell fireball, to clear enemies.
